ABOUT BETH

Beth began yoga as an outlet for the chaos of feeling burnout and emotional unrest, and it soon became an anchor for her to feel calm, process emotions, and self regulation. Among many other benefits of yoga, this sense of coming back to yourself is what Beth aims to bring to those who are coming to her classes.

She believes yoga to be a safe space to allow the mind to be playful, curious, and even vulnerable. The mat is a place where we are able to process the world around us and our place in it. It’s also a place we can defy the expectations placed on us to conform, and allow the inner child to be expressed.  No matter what is going on in our lives off the mat, our moments on the mat can be our one constant: your space, your time.

TEACHING APPROACH

Beth’s approach to teaching centres around giving you full agency over your body and your practice.

There is no judgement or expectation to meet any particular poses, she encourages exploring and welcomes listening to yourself and what your body feels rather than what you’re instructed.

THE CLASS

YIN YANG YOGA

The practice is a balance of two energies into one class. The yang begins us with a dynamic, active sequence which helps us to build strength, stamina, endurance, and just gets the whole body moving. The yin then slows us right down to find some restorative postures that can be held for a few minutes at a time, and sinks us into a deeply relaxing end of the practice.

This practice is welcome to all levels and experiences. From whatever place you are at in your yoga practice, beginner or experienced, we build from the foundations of yoga together to grow a strong and healthy understanding of the practice, and tune in to our feeling senses.

The class explores a range of postures, balances and breathworks to strengthen the bodily connection and create space from life’s stimulations, fully welcomes an openness to take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.

Movement and meditation pair in Yin Yang to feel a sense of release and head into the week with some calm and regulation.

What the classes offer

Space to unwind.

Finding an hour of your week that is truly yours, where you are able to release through the body and feel real rest.

Connect with yourself

The mind and body are one. Movement stirs and releases our thoughts, and makes us aware of what’s really going on inside. This is a welcome space to explore this.

Feel grounded

Finding a weekly practice that gives you that calm and regulation can be a great tool to go into our week with more tolerance, resilience, and kindness - to ourself and others.
