Gentle Hatha Yoga

safia_edited.png

Safia has been teaching Hatha Yoga since qualifying with the British School of Yoga in 2012, deepening her understanding through close mentorship with her own teacher.

Over the years, she has shared her practice in a wide range of settings — from leisure centres and health retreats to mental health units, schools, and senior community groups — and continues to hold a regular class at Eastbourne’s Yoga Life Studio.

Her journey into yoga began as a response to long hours spent sitting at a desk, seeking balance and relief. What she discovered was far more than physical ease. Through a consistent and curious practice, she found a pathway into greater awareness, steadiness, and connection — benefits that continue to unfold and inspire her teaching.

Movement remains central to her life. Alongside yoga, she loves to dance, and the dialogue between these practices continually informs her exploration of rhythm, flow, and embodied presence. Her classes invite students to listen inwardly, move with sensitivity, and cultivate a deeper relationship with themselves.
